16 Dec Camperdown Men’s Shed not sitting idle
Camperdown Men’s Shed have not been sitting idle during COVID-19
As many/all community groups and organisations, Camperdown Men’s Shed has been closed for much of 2020 but their members have not been sitting idle.
There have been many individual projects the Shed’s members have been engaged in from their own personal shed spaces at home.
One such project has been building new garden seating for the Camperdown and District Community House.
Community House contacted Colin Rutter firstly to commission a bench seat for the new meditation garden, and since that first inquiry Colin has been hard at work constructing not only this bench seat, but a number of these fabulous garden seats for the rear garden of the community house and planning for others for the Camperdown Community Garden.
The quality of the workmanship and community spirit of the Camperdown Men’s Shed members cannot be denied, and you can find many pieces of their handiwork across Camperdown.
The Men’s Shed welcomes inquiries for personal projects and custom pieces.
Many letterboxes, signs and garden seats in Camperdown have been the product of the Men’s Shed members at work.
The Camperdown Men’s Shed is open to members from 9am-12pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Men’s Shed re-opened to their members again in November 2020, and they have not skipped a beat getting back into working together, in a COVID-safe manner of course.
If you are interested in joining in or visiting as a prospective member, they would love to hear from you. You can contact the Camperdown Men’s Shed c/o the Camperdown and District Community House at PO BOX 67 Camperdown VIC 3260, via email or call 5593 1403. Be sure to like the Men’s Shed Facebook page!
