At our recent Annual General Meeting, we celebrated our amazing volunteers and the contributions they make to community house and civic life. Read more about the AGM and our celebration of community and our achievements over the last year HERE.

Every contribution, no matter how ‘big’ or ‘small’ makes the world go around, and if people stopped volunteering the world would truly come to a standstill. The impact of volunteerism and volunteer activity is often underestimated. Neighbourhood Houses Victoria have developed a tool to quantify our volunteer activity into a monetary ‘community value’. In 2024, community house volunteers contributed a total of $469,367.00 in community value to our local economy, a remarkable community asset and amplification of civic life and connection..

Annual Volunteer Recognition Awards

We host annual Volunteer Recognition Awards at the AGM to highlight and promote the incredible work our volunteers do throughout the year.

These awards are not to discount the immense efforts and valuable contributions of everyone who has volunteered with community house over the year, but it is an opportunity to really showcase and celebrate individual contributions that often go unseen and underappreciated.
