Food Waste Reduction Workshops Project Hibernation

Thanks for your interest in the online Food Waste Reduction Workshops.

The aim of the nine workshops was to support Barwon South West households to reduce food waste by sharing practical steps to prevent over purchasing, store food for maximum freshness, use up left overs and recycle scraps.  The project was delivered between September – November 2021 with over 265 people registering and we thank them all for joining in!

The Food Waste Reduction Workshop portal is closed for now, but for more great information and resources to support your household food waste reduction journey, visit Sustainability Victoriawww.sustainability.vic.gov.au/recycling-and-reducing-waste/at-home/avoid-waste/food-waste and Love Food Hate Waste www.lovefoodhatewaste.com.

The workshop series was funded by the Local Government Program of Barwon South West Waste and Resource Recovery Group www.reduce-recycle.com.au and delivered in partnership with Camperdown and District Community House www.camperdownch.com.au.

The workshop presenters were Kylie Treble and Madeleine Dobbins. Video production and IT services were provided by Angela Preiss, Virtual Assistant.
