An exciting job opportunity exists for a motivated person to become the new coordinator of Camperdown Community House. Our current coordinator Cathy Keating has given notice that she will be retiring from the position at the end of the year.

The Camperdown & District Community House Inc. is an incorporated association governed by a Committee of Management.
Our Purpose
The role of the Camperdown & District Community house Inc. is to promote social cohesion within the community. We aim to connect with, inspire and engage community at all levels.
Key Selection Criteria
Required
- Knowledge and understanding of community development principles and practice, preferably in a Neighbourhood House setting
- Demonstrated high level administrative and organisational skills, including extensive experience working with emails, electronic filing and report writing.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated basic financial management skills, including producing and monitoring simple budgets and producing financial reports.
- Experience writing grant submissions
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and contribute to a team environment.
- Significant event and/or project management experience, people with a disability, those on low income or unemployed, youth and elderly people.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and resource a volunteer based Committee of Management
- Ability to represent, and advocate for the organisation and the community in a highly professional manner.
- A current drivers licence and access to a motor vehicle is essential
Mandatory
- National police record check prior to appointment.
- Current working with children’s check
Desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications relatable to the Community Development Sector
- Capacity for collaborative leadership and management of staff and volunteers
- Ability to identify community needs and to plan, develop, monitor and evaluate high quality programs to meet those needs.
- Basic knowledge of Accounting package MYOB
