Knitting for a Cause program update

Knitting for a Cause program update

Great community response and contribution to new program launched in 2021.

Our Knitting for a Cause program has been going beautifully with so many amazing community knitters contributing so far. We are now sewing together the knitted strips that have been donated so far into blankets that will be either donated to nominated charities or sold to raise funds for local and regional charities.

The program launched in 2021 following the wildly successful Knitting for Wildlife program we have been running since 2020.

A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed so far, and to Kay and Merle who are teaming up to construct the blankets from the strips we have received.Knitting for a Cause is an ongoing program, you are welcome to knit and donate as many strips at any time (according to our specifications, see https://camperdownch.com.au/knitting-for-a-cause-program-l…/ or call 55931403 for these).

Community House can provide acrylic yarn if needed, pop in during our office hours to collect or call us to make arrangements.

Community House is open:

9am-4.30pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

9am-1pm Fridays
