13 Oct New Meditation Group
We are thrilled to welcome Clint and Tina to introduce a meditation group to the mix of activities, groups and services on offer at Camperdown Community House. Lifelong meditation students, Clint and Tina have over five years’ experience in facilitating meditation groups in Shepparton and have now made their home in Camperdown.
We will be launching this new group as a part of the Corangamite Shire’s Eat Well Move Well Be Well Spring programming, so please join us at 6 Gunner Street (at the rear of Apex Park) from 7-8pm on Thursday 26 October.
The group will then continue to meet at 7pm on the first, second and fourth Thursday of each month. The dates for the next term are as follows:
7-8pm Thursday 26 October
7-8pm Thursday 2 November
7-8pm Thursday 9 November
7-8pm Thursday 23 November
7-8pm Thursday 30 November
7-8pm Thursday 7 December
7-8pm Thursday 14 December
Summer holiday dates still to be confirmed.
Here are some welcoming words from Tina about their practice and this new group:
“Come and experience a variety of meditation styles, including guided imagery and mindfulness, meditation is something you practice, not master. The benefits are far-reaching, from increased concentration to stress reduction, improved sleep and a greater capacity to tolerate change, meditation can be a helpful aid to these modern times. It is a gentle practice requiring nothing but your time. There is no such thing as a “good” or “bad” meditation. It is a skill acquired through experience and practice, much like tennis or playing a musical instrument. However, it is also a skill of the mind.” – Tina Gartland
