23 Sep Noorat Writers Group: new auspice for community house
Noorat Writers Group is an informal group of writers from Noorat, Terang and surrounds who meet monthly at the Mt Noorat Hotel, Noorat, to share writing goals, support one another’s creative work, and find inspiration.
Over the past two years, they have hosted an annual writers’ event that brings together local and visiting authors to discuss their writing journeys and share insights into the industry.
Their next event is on October 17, 2026: an afternoon of conversation with four authors following different paths sharing their insights on writing, life, and the stories we are trying to tell.
Camperdown and District Community House entered into a formal auspice agreement in August 2026 and are thrilled to support this important and vibrant group, that add so much to the creative landscape of our region; highlighting and celebrating Noorat’s rich literary history.
