Camperdown Community Garden – Wicking Bed Workshop
Join us in the Camperdown Community Garden, at the rear of APEX Park Camperdown, for a Wicking Bed Workshop.
Wicking beds are a fantastic option for drought prone areas or if you want to save of your water bills!
Come along to learn more about what wicking beds are, how they work and how to build them.
When: 10am to 2pm Saturday 15th June 2019
Where: Camperdown Community Garden, at the rear of APEX Park
Cost: $10 (full) / $5 (concession/pension)
What is included: You will be provided with a catered lunch, all materials for the workshop will be supplied
What to bring:
Clothing that you do not mind getting dirty, gloves, appropriate footwear (gumboots would be good)
What will we be doing:
We will be learning by doing, working in the Camperdown Community Garden to covert the four new raised garden beds into wicking beds by the end of the workshop!
You will know all that you need to to make your own wicking beds at home by the end of the day.
