The last year has still seen a number of restrictions applying to face-to-face activities and events; however, community house continued to adapt and provide opportunities for community to connect and share in experiences in COVID-safe ways whenever possible.
In the last financial year, we have delivered:
22 in-person workshops ranging from Edible Weeds, Painting, Creative Writing and more
9 digital food waste reduction workshops in partnership with Barwon South West Waste and Resource Recovery Group
2 digital art workshops
Local History seminar and bus tour series: Djargurdwarrung First Peoples of Camperdown and District
A number of family friendly free events, including Easter Family Fun Day (games and craft)
La Mamma 4 Kids Regional Tour: Super Jenny performances for pre-school aged children
Catered community get together events with local music, including RU OK Day
Friends of community house and volunteers thank you events
New wellbeing and mindfulness activity, Zentangle
As things continue to ‘open up’, we are looking forward to next year where events and workshops we planned over recent years can finally be delivered!

In 2023 we aim to:
Continue with our monthly painting workshops, along with a number of digital art workshops. We are also looking to expand our creative workshops and events to include tours to local and regional galleries and workshops in other creative mediums. We will continue to work in partnership and collaboration with Corangamite Arts and other local artists and creatives to diversify the opportunities for local community to share skills, learn new things and express ourselves!
A new instalment “Introduction to Leadlight” course
Complete our Local History seminar and tour series, and introduce a new local history program in partnership with Camperdown and District Historical Society
Introduce new creative writing workshops and a winter writing retreat
Tours of our local food producers and providers across the region
Op Shop Tours and Bargain Hunt style community auction events
Linking with other creative groups across the region and continuing our bus trips to visit Terang Morning Melodies
And much more!
