Camperdown Playgroup

Camperdown Playgroup

The Camperdown Playgroup is a parent-led group that meets every second Tuesday from 9.30-11am at Camperdown Community House.

All parents and carers of young children aged between 0-5 years are welcome to come along for free-form play time, and free tea and coffee.

This is a great group of supportive parents, and is a great way to meet other families.

Our play space has musical instruments, children’s books, toys, a safe indoor and outdoor play area and direct access to the child safe outdoor play area in Apex Park.

Everyone is welcome, there is no charge to participate.

We have a changing table and private area to breastfeed if needed.

For more information, contact us on 5593 1403.

Former early-years program run at community house: Sugarloaf Shakers (currently unavailable)

Sugarloaf Shakers is a community based music and literacy program, for children aged four and under. It focuses on young families and promoting early literacy skills through singing nursery rhymes and reading books together. The children enjoy this program and it is offered at libraries nationwide.  The rhymes are also therapeutic for adults; they draw you into the moment with their simplicity and create a break from the everyday noise of our busy modern lives. Parents are also able to enjoy peer support.

This program currently does not have a parent/parents to facilitate, and as such is currently on hold until we have a new facilitator. If you are interested, please get in touch by calling 5593 1403.

Camperdown Community House is a great place for people to come together to socialise, learn new skills and have some fun.
